Five for Friday - Nordstrom Rack

Hello Y'all!  It's Friday!!!  And I have been working hard this week at wrapping up final wedding details.  This week's project?  Finishing up the ceremony details.  And it's done!  So let's celebrate a little with some favorites.

Did you all know that Nordstrom Rack has a website???  I thought they were only brick and mortar.  Y'all, this is a game changer.  And I am super excited to share my finds this week.  First up, a favorite pair of leggings that I own and love.

Where I'm From, aka The Birthplace of Coffee Syrup

Isn't this a lovely picture of the Dallas Skyline?  I love it every time I catch a glimpse of it.  With as much as I love it, you would think I grew up here in the DFW area.  But I didn't.  The idea of living in Texas never even crossed my mind until 2010.  Texas is my adopted home but I grew up in the Biggest Little State in the Union - Rhode Island.

Life Lately

Hello Monday!  Did you all have a good weekend?  We had quiet weekend, not much going on.  The usual errands, date night, house chores, you know the drill.  Here's a peek into what we've been doing lately.

Let's start with a PSA - did you know that Sephora will package perfume samples for you?  I went in looking for a perfume for my wedding day and the woman offered to put together samples of the ones I was interested in trying.  This way I could try them on, wear them, and see how they reacted on my skin.  Such a great idea and a lot of help.  I tried Replica's Lipstick On,  Chanel's Gabrielle, Armani's Si, and Elizabeth and James' Amethyst.

Hey there Friday!  So glad to see you!  I have felt crazy busy all week.  What about you?  Has September felt crazier than usual?  Just me?  Earlier in the week, I posted about transitioning from summer to Fall so I thought this Friday, I'd highlight my five favorite things from the Nordstrom Sale that will get you through the rest of this warm weather and into the coziness of fall.

A Little About Me - What I Do

For those of you who are newer to the blog, I thought I would start a mini weekly series to help you all get to know me a little better.  As I am about to transition from one job to a new one, I thought I would tell you a bit about what I do and where I've done it!

To start, when I was a little girl I wanted to be a majorette.  My grandmother fundraised for the high school band and my uncle was the football coach, so I spent my younger years around the cheerleaders and majorettes and color guard.  I was like a mini mascot and thought it was what I wanted to be when I grew up.

Happy Wednesday Y'all!  We are steaming full speed through September.  Here in Texas that means cooler mornings but warmer afternoons.  It may be 65 when you leave the house, but 90 degrees by 4pm.

Five For Friday - Current Beauty Favorites!

Happy Friday Y'all!  Did you survive the Tuesday that felt like a Monday?  Long weekends are great, but short work weeks can be tough.  I've got a job post planned for next week, so I won't go into too much detail here, but I am trying to wind down some things and cramming a lot of things into my work week.
